""K.V.S. PERSPIROMETER

Application Field :
The Test is intended for determining the resistance of the colour of Textiles of all kinds and in all forms to the action of Human perspiration.

Equipment :
Colour Fastness of Dyed or printed fabrics, against perspiration, is determined by exposing the fabric sample to the action of both alkaline and acidic reagents, while in contact with undyed adjacent fabrics on both sides. The test specimen alongwith adjacent fabric is placed between plastic (Acrylic) plates under a fixed load inside an oven maintained at 37°C. The Apparatus used for this Test is called the Perspirometer.

Description :
The K.V.S. Perspirometer consists of a number of acrylic plates, which can be kept in a suitable loading frames consists of two steel plates between which the acrylic plates are placed. The test specimen are stitched between white cotton cloth (Standard Fabric) and dipped in either Alkaline or Acidic Test Solutions. The Composite Sample is placed in between any two acrylic plates. A number of Test Specimens can be loaded simultaneously between different sets of acrylic plates by sticking them one above the other. Keeping a standard Dead Weight on top of the upper plate assembly does loading, which consist of two parallel plates separated by suitable compensating springs. The guide rod attached to top plate of this assembly can locked with or without the Load. The springs compensate for subsequent variations in load due to variations in thickness of the Test Specimen on drying.

The Test is carried on for the required time under the specified condition of temperature. The samples are then removed from the dried. The degree of staining of the Standard Fabric change in colour of the test specimen is evaluated using Grey Scales and compared against Standard rating Cards.

All parts of K.V.S. Perspirometer are made of mild steel and are bright chrome plated to give them a corrosion resistant fine finish.
